One dead in two-vehicle crash in Clinton County News Journal CHESTER TWP. –A Dayton man was killed when his motorcycle was struck head-on by an SUV late Tuesday afternoon, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Wilmington Post. The crash occurred at approximately 5 p.m. on State Route 380 at Inwood Road, Chester Township, Clinton County. Preliminary investigation indicates a red 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac was traveling southbound on SR 380 operated by Anthony R. Stevens, 56, of Wilmington. A 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was northbound on SR380 operated by Terry M. Scott, 55, of Dayton. There was a vehicle stopped in the roadway yielding to northbound traffic before turning left onto Inwood Road that was not involved in the crash.

Apr 27, 2021 LOCK HAVEN The Clinton County Sheriff’s office is partnering with Permitium LLC to offer an optional way to apply and pay for your License to Carry Concealed (LTC) On Line. Permitium, which is offered in many states throughout the country, is not new at this but they did indeed just tailor their application service system to become available in PA last summer, according to Clinton County Sheriff Kerry Stover. “We quietly soft launched our site eight weeks ago on our Facebook page and through word of mouth when applicants called for instructions. It has been great for applicants and the sheriff’s office staff so going forward applicants wanting to apply online for a License to Carry may now do so anytime as I had it made permanently available on the county’s website, Stover said.

Clinton County Sheriff’s reports: Drivers with drugs; assault; thefts WILMINGTON The following information comes from incident reports provided by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office. All those arrested are presumed innocent until possibly found guilty in court. The sheriff’s office recently processed these reports: • A 25-year-old Sidney male was charged with alleged drug paraphernalia and marijuana possession after a traffic stop at 1:48 a.m. on April 20. The vehicle was stopped for a marked lanes violation. During the stop, suspected narcotics and a firearm was located. • A 20-year-old Sabina female was charged with alleged marijuana possession after conducting a traffic stop at 5:22 a.m. on April 18 on U.S. 22 East in Wilmington/Union Township. According to the report, the vehicle was traveling at high rates of speed and had no visible plates. A bag with powder and a glass smoking pipe were found in the vehicle.
