MARTINSVILLE A wildlife officer was shot and three local men are in custody facing charges after an incident in Clinton County Sunday afternoon, police said.
At approximately 4 p.m. the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Communication Center advising that a wildlife officer had been shot and needed assistance, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Wildlife officers and ODNR officers working in the area responded for assistance, as well as officers from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio State Highway Patrol.

WILMINGTON Three suspected poachers are facing multiple charges and possibly more after an incident in which a wildlife officer was shot in the Martinsville area on Sunday, police said.
At approximately 4 p.m. Sunday the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Communication Center advising that a wildlife officer had been shot and needed assistance, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Blanchester PD: Man waved knife, threatened officer
Police say this is the knife the suspect was brandishing.
BLANCHESTER A Blanchester man faces charges after he was waving around a knife and later threated a police officer with that knife, police said.
Shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday police were called to the McDonald’s restaurant at 201 W. Main St. on a report of a man in the parking lot waving a knife around, Blanchester Police Chief Scott Reinbolt said in a news release.
“An officer responded but did not see the man,” Reinbolt said. “A call was then received that the same man was in the parking lot of First National Bank at 121 E. Main St. using a knife to threaten a man there.

Wilmington police recently processed the following reports:
• Police arrested a 29-year-old male on an active warrant through the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office at 11:35 p.m. on Dec. 16. According to the report, the incident took place around Doan and South Wall Street. Upon searching the suspect, a syringe was found in his left front pocket, and a “hitter pipe” and a clear bag of marijuana were found. The suspect was also charged with alleged drug abuse instrument possession.
