A longtime Cleveland Museum of Natural History board member and his wife have contributed an additional $1 million to the institution s big expansion and renovation project. The gift from Chace Anderson and his wife, Josie, brings their total contribution to the project to $2 million. The museum said in a news release that the new gift will support the creation of the A. Chace and Josephine Anderson Entrance Lobby. The space will lead from the Wade Oval entrance to the new Visitor Hall, which will be free to the public and showcase eight of the museum s iconic specimens, including Dunkleosteus, Ohio s state fossil fish, and famed sled dog Balto, according to the release.
