Cleveland area advocates for sexual assault survivors react to release of Bill Cosby
Advocates at the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center hope Cosby s overturned conviction won t discourage survivors from coming forward. Author: Lynna Lai Updated: 1:09 AM EDT July 1, 2021
CLEVELAND Local advocates of sexual assault survivors reacted to the news Wednesday that 83-year-old actor and comedian Bill Cosby is now a free man, after his conviction was overturned by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Cosby s record is wiped clean, and he cannot be retried. So I think what happened today only highlights how complicated our criminal justice center is for survivors of sexual violence.
