Today, the American Lung Association in Florida announced that Ihab AlShelli, MD from Cleveland Clinic Florida’s Pulmonary Medicine Department will speak at the LUNG FORCE Lung Cancer Patient Virtual Meetup on May 11.
The Lung Cancer Patient Virtual Meetup is a program designed for lung cancer patients and caregivers to learn more about the latest trends, resources and research surrounding lung cancer. The meeting’s virtual platform will enable attendees from across the nation to forge meaningful connections with other patients and caregivers. Next week, May 9 – May 15, the American Lung Association in South Florida will celebrate LUNG FORCE Turquoise Takeover with several events throughout the week.
The LUNG FORCE initiative’s annual Turquoise Takeover unites men and women to raise critical awareness of lung cancer, the nation’s #1 cancer killer. Residents are encouraged to get involved by wearing turquoise, posting to social media and/or participating in one of the many local activations.
