Hopkins Airport Passenger Numbers Heading Toward Normal

May 25, 2021 (Cleveland) - You may not believe it when you see how passenger numbers at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport are going back toward normal, compared with the early part of the pandemic. Like airports around the world, Hopkins had a dramatic drop in air service, and in passenger numbers, due to the pandemic. Businesses canceled travel, and leisure travelers stayed home. The city says, last week, there were an average of 10,294 passengers through the airport each day. Compare that with a daily average of only 314 passengers daily in April 2020. The current numbers are still below 2019, when the airport had a total of 10,040,817 passengers for the entire year, which breaks down to an average of 27,509 per day.
