After 20 years of fresh opportunities, Johnathine Handshoe, 30, didn t get another. This week, Branch County Circuit Court Judge Bill O’Grady sentenced Handshoe to 23 months to 10 years in prison.  Handshoe, who said he is homeless, pleaded guilty in a Jan. 21 break-in at Smile Avenue Dental in Coldwater.  Handshoe said, “I did wrong. Give me a chance to get my life back on track.” O’Grady reviewed Handshoe s criminal record, starting with theft at age 10. Handshoe had been placed in juvenile detention facilities four times.  As an adult, there were 15 criminal cases, including a May 2020 credit card theft conviction in Calhoun County.
