COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners formally approved a request on Tuesday from the local Michigan Indigent Defense Counsel office to cover recurring travel to the states of Indiana and Ohio for the rest of this year.
With Branch County bordering the two states, M.I.D.C. investigators may be required to travel to Indiana and Ohio as part of their investigation.
There would be no overnight stays.
It was agreed during last weeks work session that the request being reviewed on a yearly basis. Any other out of state travel will require approval by Commissioners prior to the trip.
