QUINCY TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A 22-year-old Jonesville woman was arrested and booked at the Branch County Jail Tuesday morning following a bizarre incident at a Quincy Township home.
The Michigan State Police reports troopers were dispatched to the report of a home invasion in progress in the 300 block of Maple Road at about 2:00 a.m..
It was reported that the suspect got into the home illegally while the residents slept. The homeowners woke and found the woman trying to climb into bed with them and acting like she was under the influence.
She refused to leave thinking she was inside of her own home. The husband and wife were able to physically force the suspect out of the home without having to use a firearm that was in the home.
COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Homer man has been charged with first degree home invasion, felony assault and domestic violence in connection with a March 20 incident at his girl friends apartment in Coldwater.
40-year-old Corey Tyler Baldridge was arraigned in Branch County District Court on Tuesday following a Coldwater Police investigation.
Prosecutors also filed a habitual offender fourth offense sentencing enhancer that carried a mandatory 25 year sentence.
According to court documents, an argument took place between Baldridge and his girl friend after he forced his way into the apartment.
The alleged victim claims the suspect picked up a knife, raised it above his head and brought his arm down in a stabbing motion twice. She say she was able to catch his arm and prevent him from stabbing her.

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A man arrested after the Michigan State Police responded to an in progress Girard Township home invasion was formally charged on Monday in Branch County District Court.
25-year-old Aaron Todd Ford was charged with first degree home invasion and breaking an entering a vehicle to steal property less than $200.
Court documents listed his current address as being in Coldwater after he formerly lived in Saline.
State Police at the Marshall post say they were called to the 200 block of Hawley Center Drive just before 1:00 a.m. Monday morning after the homeowner told Troopers he was woke up by a loud noise.

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A man was arrested by Coldwater Police Thursday afternoon after his vehicle crashed into a telephone pole at the intersection of East State Street and Michigan Avenue.
The whole series of incidents started when a witness reported to police a man was possibly overdosing on drugs on Cutter Avenue.
The suspect then got into a vehicle and drove off.
The crash took place at about 1:55 p.m.. It knocked some wires into the street and caused a small grass fire nearby. No injuries were reported.
