CALIFORNIA TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) â Three persons suffered minor injuries on Monday afternoon when two vehicles collided at the intersection of Fremont and Copeland Roads in California Township.
The Branch County Sheriffâs Department says the crash happened at about 2:25 p.m. when a east bound vehicle driven by 27-year-old Jay Phillip Michael of Kendallville, Indiana failed to yield for a stop sign at the intersection and was struck by a north bound vehicle driven by 86-year-old Norbert Kunk of Coldwater.
The two drivers along with a passenger in the Kunk vehicle, 86-year-old Martha Jean Kunk of Coldwater, were all taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.

CALIFORNIA TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) â The Branch County Sheriffâs Department says a Bronson woman was injured Monday morning when she fell asleep at the wheel of her vehicle and struck a tree in California Township.
The crash was reported at about 7:50 a.m. on Fremont Road north of Waters Road.
The Sheriffâs Department says 46-year-old Merideth Kaye Goodsell was heading north on Fremont Road when she fell asleep.
Her vehicle then crossed the center line, left the road and struck a tree.
Goodsell had to be extricated from the wreckage with the jaws of life by the Fremont Fire Department.

COLDWATER TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) â Three Hillsdale County residents were injured Sunday afternoon when a mechanical problem with their vehicle led to a crash just before 3:00 p.m. on Jonesville Road east of Marshall Road.
The Branch County Sheriffâs Departmenr reports 22-year-old Bradley Gillman of Hillsdale lost control of his vehicle due to the mechanical issue, went into a ditch and struck a utility pole.
Gillman complained of neck pain while two passengers were injured.
20-year-old Alyssa Spahr of Hillsdale had pain to the left arm and stomach.

The fundraiser was announced on the Branch County Sheriffâs Office Facebook page Wednesday morning.
The Chaos stuffed animal will cost you $20, and the sheriffâs office says it has a limited number available.
