Legislation seeks to repeal the Parental Notification Act, meaning a minor could get an abortion without telling their parents. Currently, in Illinois, if you re under the age of 18 and you want to get an abortion, your parents or guardian must be notified. “I wish I could sit around home,” 17-year-old Destiny Coleman said. “I like to stay busy. It keeps me focused and on track. I don’t really like down time.”
