Schoolgirl Opens Fire At Idaho Middle School, Injures Three People

On Thursday, an Idaho schoolgirl opened fire on her classmates, officials reported. In Rigby, Idaho, a female middle school student opened fire after pulling a handgun out of her backpack. The incident occurred on Thursday, May 6, at around 9 a.m., as reported by the Jefferson County Sheriffâs Office. Credits: AP AsÂ perÂ ABC News, two students and one adult were injured in the shooting. Thankfully, the students â a boy and a girl, had non-life-threatening injuries but had to remain in hospital overnight. According to officials, they may need surgery. Meanwhile, the adult had to be rushed to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center but was later released in a stable condition.

Driver Injured When Train Hits Truck in St. Anthony ST. ANTHONY, Idaho (KLIX)-A truck driver was flown to the hospital when his truck was struck by a train in eastern Idaho Thursday afternoon. According to Idaho State Police, Steven Jenson, 25, of St. Anthony was pulled from his semi-truck by bystanders after it had been hit by the train on the passenger side at around 5:47 p.m. in St. Anthony. Jenson was flown to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. ISP said in a statement the driver failed to yield at the rail road crossing. The Fremont County Sheriff s Office, St. Anthony Police Department, Fremont County EMS, and South Fremont Fire all responded to the scene.

From signs to flowers to the thousands of eastern Idahoans, and many businesses that have expressed a desire to help out. Pick Me Up, a popular soda shack franchise, has extended its free drink promotion through Friday at their Rigby location in a show of support. Additionally, the soda shack will be accepting donations through cash or check until Saturday. The company says they will match the donations up to $10,000 and give the funds directly to the three shooting victims.
