Police arrest two after vehicle stop – Kariong
A man and woman have been arrested following a vehicle stop on the Central Coast today, as part of an ongoing investigation into a shooting in Sydney’s east.
Emergency services were called to a unit on Marine Parade about 9.15pm on Sunday (4 July 2021), after reports a man had been shot.
Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command and NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 37-year-old man, before he was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.
A crime scene was established, which was examined by specialist forensic police, and detectives commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Neighbours heard people arguing shortly before a man was shot in the leg in a Maroubra apartment complex on Sunday night and taken to hospital for emergency surgery.
Police are appealing to the public for information on the shooting, which they believe was a targeted attack on the man, 37, at his unit in the beachside suburb.
The man’s brother called triple zero around 9.15pm after the single gun shot in the hallway of the unit complex left the victim with significant bleeding from a wound to his thigh.

Police are appealing for public assistance to help identify a woman who may be able to help their investigation into a man missing from Sydney’s east.
Robert Duncan, aged 78, was last seen at a home on Alison Road, Randwick, on Wednesday 14 April 2021.
He was reported missing to police on Monday 26 April 2021 and officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command commenced inquiries to locate him.
