Frantic search for baby floating in water
News 8th Feb 2021 6:14 AM A large-scale search will pick up again today after bystanders raised the alarm when they spotted what they believed to be a baby wrapped in plastic in the water at a popular Sydney beach. Emergency services were called to Yarra Bay, La Perouse, in Sydney s southeast at around 5pm on Sunday evening following reports of an object - believed to be a deceased infant - floating in the water. Reported sighting of a baby floating in water – Yarra Bay
A large-scale search is due to recommence today (Monday 8 February 2021) following a report of an object believed to be baby seen floating in the water in Sydney’s south east.
About 5pm yesterday (Sunday 8 February 2021), emergency services were called to Yarra Bay, La Perouse, after a report a baby was apparently deceased in the water.
Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command attended the scene and commenced an investigation. They were informed by several witnesses that they had seen an object that they believed was to be a baby wrapped in a plastic bag floating in the shallow water.
