Police arrest suspect in Mission Drive fatal stabbing

BATON ROUGE - A suspect has been arrested in connection with the stabbing death of a man Friday night.
Police were called to the 3100 block of Mission Drive at around 10:25 p.m. Friday where it is believed 28-year-old Kedren Jones was stabbed by his neighbor, 25-year-old Brittany Williams-Young. Authorities believe Jones and Williams-Young got into an argument earlier that evening.
Williams-Young was arrested and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for Manslaughter.

Arrest records from the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff s Office indicate that a 36-year-old resident of Baker is behind bars for allegedly robbing and pistol-whipping a former acquaintance.
Deputies identify the arrested individual as Antron Johnson, saying he shot a 44-year-old man in the hip last week, April 28.
Arrest documents say Johnson approached the victim in the 8900 block of Mills Drive in Zachary and shot him, but the alleged abuse did not stop there.
Once the victim was on the ground, deputies say Johnson used the back of a handgun to hit the victim over the head.

BATON ROUGE - A woman was arrested Monday night for her role in a deadly crash near Tiger Bend Road late last year.
According to representatives with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff s Office, the crash happened shortly after midnight Nov. 2. within the 14000 block of Tigerbend Road when an eastbound vehicle with three occupants swerved off-road and into a ditch. The vehicle then crashed into a cement driveway.
Authorities say the impact from the collision resulted in the death of one of the passengers, a 24-year-old woman whose name has not been released by authorities.
