BATON ROUGE - A woman was arrested Monday night for her role in a deadly crash near Tiger Bend Road late last year.
According to representatives with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff s Office, the crash happened shortly after midnight Nov. 2. within the 14000 block of Tigerbend Road when an eastbound vehicle with three occupants swerved off-road and into a ditch. The vehicle then crashed into a cement driveway.
Authorities say the impact from the collision resulted in the death of one of the passengers, a 24-year-old woman whose name has not been released by authorities.

Authorities say Eric Derell Smith, 30, fatally shot his ex-girlfriend, Christin Parker, 32, and her nephew, Brandon Parker, 26, around 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 3, at Parker’s home in an unincorporated area of East Baton Rouge Parish near Baker, La.

The 4-month-old injured Monday during a police pursuit that ended in Mississippi has died.
The Biloxi Police Department says that the child, who was taken to the hospital Monday afternoon following the pursuit, died from unspecified injuries.
The child was taken from his home in Baker on Monday, May 3, by 30-year-old Eric Derrell Smith who fled from police after killing two people at that residence.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff s Office identifed the two killed as Smith s ex-girlfriend, Christin Parker, 32, and her nephew, Brandon Parker, 26.

EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH, La. (WAFB) - Deputies with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriffâs Office (EBRSO) say they are trying to find a suspect accused of fatally shooting two individuals and leaving the scene with a 4-month-old child.
Deputies have identified the suspect as Eric Derell Smith, 30. Authorities say Smith is considered armed and dangerous. If anyone sees Smith, they need to contact law enforcement immediately.
