BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Deputies with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriffâs Office (EBRSO) say they have uncovered a marijuana âcultivation and distribution networkâ spanning two parishes in a joint operation with four other law enforcement agencies.
âThe people that come into our area and just set up a growing operation.I mean it was well done the way they did it they had everything set up to accomplish what they were doingâ, East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff Sid Gautreaux told WAFB.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Deputies with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriffâs Office (EBRSO) are hosting a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, March 11 to benefit a Central High School student.
Blayne Griffin, 16, a sophomore at Central High School, was diagnosed with a soft tissue sarcoma called malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor. The tumor has caused the bone to become very soft. Deputies say Blayne will have his pelvis replaced at the end of March.
Prosecutors have dismissed the case against the former head of the Louisiana State Troopers Association who fired a shot outside that agency’s office in 2019.
