BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Former Baton Rouge Police Chief Wayne Rogillio, 80, died of cancer Wednesday, Feb. 24.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the family of former Baton Rouge Police Chief Wayne Rogillio,” said Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome. “He was on the metro council and I remember him for his dedication to our community.”

CENTRAL, La. (WAFB) - Deputies with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Central man accused of fatally shooting his wife during a domestic dispute at their home on Blackwater Road, according to an arrest warrant obtained by WAFB.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Three male suspects were reportedly breaking into vehicles and one was shot along Burbank Drive in Baton Rouge Wednesday morning, according to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriffâs Office.
The vehicles were located at The Armstrong student living complex, located at 4600 Burbank.
Deputies say the two of the suspects, are 17 and one is 16.
The 16-year-old suspect was the suspect who was shot and injured, authorities say.
