Nigeria has already broken up! Nigeria is only together in body; its soul has been shared along ethnic lines. Its spirit has flown away.
All well-meaning Nigerians were apprehensive about the state of the country prior to the general elections in 2015, because of two uncertainties.
And, when I refer to well-meaning Nigerians, political leaders; who are the drivers steering the wheel of this nation were not inclusive irrespective of what they did or professed in the public domains. They are the reasons the country flounders in chaos, tension and confusion in the first place.

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, on Saturday, condemned attack by gunmen on the country home of Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma.
Ohanaeze President General, George Obiozor, in a statement through the group’s National Publicity Secretary, Alex Ogbonnia, warned youths in the South-East against being used by outsiders and detractors to destabilise the region.
No fewer than three security operatives were killed when gunmen attacked Uzodinma’s country home in the Oru East Local Government Area of the state. Part of the building and vehicles in the compound were also torched by the assailants.

The growing unrest in Imo State persisted on Saturday as seven members of the Indigenous People of Biafra and three security men were killed, while gunmen torched the residence of Governor Hope Uzodinma in the Omuma, Oru East Local Government Area of the state.
Police operatives and their counterparts from the Nigerian Army and the Department of State Services had reportedly killed one Commander Ikonta and six other IPOB members in a raid on the militias’ hideout at Awomama village in Oru.

A tactical team of the Nigeria Police, Nigerian Army, and Department of State Services (DSS), in a joint operation early Saturday morning, stormed the operational headquarters of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), the military wing of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in Awomama, Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State, killing seven members of the group.
The Army said Ikonso Commander, who was said to be the commander of the IPOB military, was among the seven killed during an exchange of gunfire between government forces and ESN fighters.
