The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has vowed not to pitch tent with the newly found Ebubeagu Security Network by the Southeast governors.
The group made this assertion in a statement signed by its media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful on Monday.
Recall a group under the aegis of World Igbo Congress earlier declared support for the IPOB’s ESN while calling on the Southeast governors to disband the Ebubeagu following the rising security challenges in the region in recent times.
Collaborating their view, Powerful says “it’s quite unreasonable for those calling for collaboration”, insisting “the Ebubeagu was created for mischievous purpose”.

I sometimes wonder if our rough men are not working for the other side – our enemies, or perhaps they have become politicians, playing games of stakes with the lives of the people that they are supposed to protect, with their bosses jostling for more and more power… Nigerian intelligence service men, please wake up and stop dropping the ball. Forget the politics. Nigeria is yours to save.

Backs ESN, Ebube-agu to secure region
Folowing security challenges in the country, a faction of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to resist any temptation of deploying the military to the South East. x
It warned that such might lead to unending guerrilla activities or another avoidable war.
In a statement in Abakaliki at the weekend, the Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, condemned the plan, noting that Ndigbo had implicit confidence in Ebube-agu security network put in place by South East Governors’ Forum (SEGF) and Eastern Security Network (ESN) to defend the region.
He said the military should focus on the northern part of the country, where terrorists were having field day since South East had remained the country’s safest zone for foreign and local investments.

THE Indigenous People of Biafra says its security outfit, the Eastern Security Network, will be launched in the northern part of Nigeria soon.
This is as the secessionist group vowed that it would resist the planned deployment of 5,000 vigilantes to the South-East region by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria.
The MACBAN on Saturday vowed to deploy 5,000 of its vigilante to the South-East region to protect herders and their cattle.
But IPOB, in a statement signed by its Director of Media and Publicity, Emma Powerful, a copy of which was made available to our correspondent on Sunday, said it was ready to resist the plan by Miyetti Allah, adding that such threat was an insult on Igbo land.
