The Near North Palliative Care Network has been able to adapt some services and programs to online formats over the past year thanks to a $6,000 capital grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation in 2019.

This grant enabled the network to buy video conferencing equipment and 10 tablets to better connect online with its clients. And with COVID-19, the timing of these purchases could not have come at a more appropriate time so programs could move more easily online.

Denise Sherritt is “a well-known and respected supporter for area businesses” through her career with the provincial government and the Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound to her position over the past four years with NECO, board chair Dave Gray said.
