Your Turn: East Brunswick administration needs to ban fluoride in water
The East Brunswick Township Council meeting of May 4 to discuss fluoridation was carried out in admirable fashion. I would guess the objectives put forth were achieved. To wit, there was a plethora of pros and cons on this issue for East Brunswick.
It was not a surprise that the mayor and his dentist group “rolled out” the same, tired slogans touted for decades by such respected institutions as the ADA and AMA, which are based on flawed science and propaganda, unfortunately. Clearly, it indicated that politics often persuades the public.

EAST BRUNSWICK–Seeking to fill the vacancy left by Assemblyman Sterley Stanley, the East Brunswick Township Council approved a resolution appointing Dinesh Behal as its newest council member.
A vacancy existed on the council as a result of the resignation of former councilman Stanley, who was sworn in as assemblyman on Jan. 26. The East Brunswick Democratic Municipal Committee presented to the township clerk the names of three nominees for the selection of a successor to fill the vacancy, according to the council.
Council President Sharon Sullivan said the three selected nominees were Board of Education Member Liwu Hong, Jason Friedman and Dinesh Behal.

EAST BRUNSWICK–Acknowledging his three years of service on the governing body, the East Brunswick Township Council honored former councilman and current Assemblyman Sterley Stanley.
Councilman Michael Spadafino, who was Stanley’s runningmate during the 2016 council election, read a resolution during the Feb. 8 council meeting honoring Stanley for his years of service to the community.
Stanley served as a councilman from Jan. 1, 2017, through Jan. 26 and served as council president in 2019 and 2020, according to the council.
Honored by the resolution, Stanley thanked everyone, and said it was an honor working with each member of the governing body and the municipal staff.
