Today s Covid deaths as tally rises by 28 in 48 hours Another 28 people have died with coronavirus at hospitals across the county in the last 48 hours. New figures from NHS England, released on Saturday afternoon show that in the last 48 hours, nine people who tested positive for Covid in the previous 28 days have died at facilities managed by East Lancashire Hospitals Trust. A further six Covid-related deaths were recorded at facilities within Blackpool Hospitals Trust since Thursday. Facilities in the University of Morecambe Bay Hospitals Trust registered another eight deaths in the last 48 hours. While hospitals within Southport and Ormskirk Trust reported that a further five people had died within 28 days of having a positive Covid test result.

New figures from NHS England, released on Wednesday afternoon show that in the last 24 hours, five people who tested positive for Covid in the previous 28 days have died at facilities managed by East Lancashire Hospitals Trust. A further six Covid-related deaths were recorded at facilities within Blackpool Hospitals Trust, and seven deaths were registered at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Trust. Facilities in the University of Morecambe Bay Hospitals Trust also registered another six deaths. While hospitals within Southport and Ormskirk Trust reported that a further three people had died within 28 days of having a positive Covid test result.
