Erie s bayfront on tap for $8M worth of dock wall/boardwalk upgrades

The authority is ready to launch one of those soon on lower State Street.  The authority is soliciting bids for the roughly $8 million project, which involves 700 feet of dock wall and the replacement of existing boardwalks along both sides of State Street north of the Bayfront Parkway, from East Front Street to the area near West Bay Drive, just south of Dobbins Landing. “The replacement walls will be constructed utilizing concrete encased steel H-pile soldier piles and precast concrete lagging panels, and the replacement boardwalk will be constructed utilizing precast concrete deck panels,” according to a legal advertisement that first appeared in the Erie Times-News on Tuesday.
