Penn GOP lawmakers pass bill that fines women for miscarriages

State legislatures pursuing pro-life agenda

State legislatures pursuing pro-life agenda Thursday, May 27, 2021  |  Charlie Butts (OneNewsNow.com) Spanish Pro-life activists know state legislatures are the source for passing life-affirming legislation and there s a good reason why: Congress is a no-show in the effort to save unborn babies. Earlier this year, South Dakota led all other states in passing the legislation - five bills in total - that have been signed into law by Gov. Kristi Noem. Pennsylvania is now working on three bills to protect preborn children. Maria Gallagher with Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation says the first bill introduced is the Down Syndrome Protection Act, which would ban abortions if there is a prenatal diagnosis.

Pro-life bills on fetal heartbeat, Down syndrome advance in Pa House

Posted May 25, 2021 The Pennsylvania Catholic Conference is seeking the support of Catholics in the commonwealth on three pro-life bills under consideration by the state House of Representatives. The House Health Committee approved the bills May 25, including: HB 904, the Fetal Heartbeat Bill,  which would prohibit an abortion once a heartbeat is detected in the unborn baby; HB 1500, the Down Syndrome Protection Act, which would protect an unborn baby from abortion if he or she has been diagnosed with Down syndrome; HB 118, the Final Disposition of Fetal Remains Act, which would give parents the option of burial or cremation after the death of their unborn baby.

Pennsylvania Legislators Draft Draconian Abortion Law, Urge Ladies To Think Of Men s Feelings

May 27, 2021 at 8:10 AM Shares123 (Photo by ANNA GASSOT/AFP/Getty Images) Let’s start with the good news: Democratic Governor Tom Wolf has promised to veto all three of the anti-abortion bills which passed out of the Pennsylvania House Health Committee yesterday. For the time being, none of this is becoming law. Which is perhaps why these state legislators felt free to pass such blatantly unconstitutional, wildly unpopular claptrap. These dogs know they’re in no danger of catching the car. The Heartbeat Bill (House Bill 904) would ban all abortions after six weeks, when most women don’t even know they’re pregnant, while the Down Syndrome Protection Act (House Bill 1500) would make it illegal to access abortion care after a Down Syndrome diagnosis.
