The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board confirms there has been one new case of COVID-19 at Beaver Brae Secondary School.
A staff member at the school has tested positive.
All contacts are being called and given instructions by the Northwestern Health Unit.
Anyone who hasn’t been contacted by health officials are deemed to be at no additional risk and can continue to attend class as usual.

A staff member at Beaver Brae Secondary School in Kenora has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board says all contacts of the case are being called and given instructions by public health officials.
The board is also working with the health unit to make sure all potential risks are minimized.
Staff and students not contacted are considered to be at no additional risk and can continue to attend school as usual.
Three positive cases have been reported at two Dryden schools in the span of a week but officials stress there has been no school exposure at Dryden High or New Prospect.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is changing how school boards and families are preparing young children to start school next year.
Usually at this time of year, local school boards hold kindergarten registration drives, which includes holding events to prepare families for the upcoming school year in the fall.
