(Contributed photo) BLOOMINGDALE Criminal justice students recently had an eye-opening experience by donning simulation goggles to understand distracted driving conditions. Seven juniors in the program at Jefferson County Joint Vocational School wore 10 different types of eyewear provided through Drunk Busters of America which simulated such conditions as intoxication, drug impairment and sleepiness. Instructor Jamie Freeman said the alcohol intoxication goggles mimicked different blood alcohol content levels from 0.04 to 0.35 while the drug-based eyewear simulated use of marijuana to hallucinogens.
