Iowa Acts to Improve Ballot Integrity but Does It Really Matter?

AP Photo/Charlie Neibergall The Iowa state legislature has passed a sweeping program of ballot integrity measures that is now headed to the desk of Republican Governor Kim Reynolds who will sign it into law. This is what the bill does according to the pro-vote-fraud website democracydocket.com. The two companion bills HF 590 and SF 413 would shorten the state’s early vote period by nine days, shorten Election Day hours and would limit each Iowa county to one ballot drop box. The bill would also prohibit counties from mailing voters absentee ballot request forms unless they are explicitly requested and requires mail ballots be received by Election Day. Currently, ballots mailed before Election Day can be counted if they are received by the following Monday.

We need mass vaccination sites. We need to be able to call a hotline number and then get sorted out to the appropriate locations and be put in queue then for your vaccination so that you know you’re on a waiting list,” Axne says.
