Nearly $140,000 worth of supplies will be handed out over the next month.
Fiji Red Cross operations manager Maciu Nokelvu said six teams of volunteers are in the worst affected areas, helping people in need. Providing them with non-food relief items which include tarpaulins for temporary shelters, dry foods and cooking utensils.

Havana, Dec 18 (Prensa Latina) Cuba on friday presented to the accredited nations in the country and to the United Nations system the progress made by domestic Covid-19 vaccines. Representatives of the Business Group of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries (BioCubaFarma), the Finlay Institute for Vaccines (IFV) and the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology participated in the meeting.
At the opening of the meeting, the Resident Coordinator of the UN system in Cuba, Consuelo Vidal, recalled that one of the most important areas of this body worldwide is to support the recovery of all countries after fighting Covid-19, in addition to maintaining the other health programs established before the beginning of the disease.
