Bahrain suspends entry from India and 4 other countries due to COVID-19

MANAMA Bahrain will suspend entry of travelers from countries on its ‘Red List’, which includes India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal, from May, 24, state news agency (BNA) said. Bahrain has introduced new travel restrictions for those coming to from five countries, including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal, state run BNA reported. The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) announced that entry would be limited to Bahrainis, GCC nationals and travellers with Bahraini residence visa from Sunday (May 23). Though Bahraini citizens and residency visa holders are not covered by the suspension, they will, however, have to provide a PCR test before boarding a plane and quarantine for 10 days upon arrival, BNA added.

COVID-19: Bahrain restricts entry to country

Dubai: Effective from tomorrow (Sunday), the entry to Bahrain will be restricted for Bahrainis, GCC nationals and holders of residence visas from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal, Bahrain News Agency reported. The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) announced that passengers arriving from the aforementioned countries will have to be quarantined for 10 days, present a certificate confirming the result of a negative PCR test containing a QR code, no more than 48 hours before their arrival. The NPRA said that all arrivals must conduct a PCR test upon arrival, and there will be a second PCR test for arrivals who plan to stay in Bahrain for a period of more than 5 days, and a third PCR test 10 days after the date of arrival.
