Updated 5/15/2021 4:54 PM The Aloha Falls miniature golf course at Peterson Road and Route 45 in Libertyville has been closed for a little more than a year and likely will be replaced with a gas station or some other other commercial development. The complex layout featured two Hawaiian-themed courses that look like artwork from the sky the Beach, which was more relaxing, and the Waterfall, which was more challenging.   The facility was formally known as the Family Entertainment Center and was a part of the Libertyville Sports Complex. An adjoining driving range also has been closed. Both facilities, which take in close to 21 acres, have been for sale for years.

It happened Sunday night at the Royal Lanes Family Entertainment Center on 106 Central Avenue. According to the Goose Creek Police Department, four patrons who had just left the business were approached by four armed suspects who robbed them at gunpoint. During the robbery, one of the victims turned and ran away.

Local family raises funds for Angelman s Syndrome research Jessica Stölen-Jacobson On Saturday afternoon, Melody Lanes Family Entertainment Center was a destination for people from throughout the community to come together for a fundraiser for Team Tenley, raising funds for a rare condition called Angelman’s Syndrome. Team Tenley formed six years ago shortly after the Birhanzl family received a diagnosis of Angelman’s Syndrome for their daughter Tenley. Her mother, Kati says that when they first received the diagnosis, the Angelman’s Syndrome Foundation was one of the first resources they were connected with by physicians. The foundation raises funds for research for a cure - a cure they are optimistically growing closer to finding as the website notes. “It is believed that there is a high chance of finding a cure for Angelman’s Syndrome due to the fact that scientists know what causes AS and have been able to reverse it in mouse models,” the website (angelman.org) say
