Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) [India], March 3 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vishnu Vardhan Reddy has accused conversion mafias of illegally capturing a holy site at Edlapadu that is said to have borne the footprint of goddess Sita and a carving of Lord Narasimha to erect a Christian Cross at the site.
The BJP leader claimed that the conversion mafia is creating havoc ever since Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy came to power in the state.

Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) [India], February 25 (ANI): A 19-year-old student was allegedly murdered in Narsaraopet town of Andhra Pradesh s Guntur district on Wednesday afternoon, the police said. The girl has been identified as Anusha who was a resident of Gollapadu village in Muppalla mandal of Guntur district, Narasaraopet rural Police Station Sub Inspector M Rosaiah told ANI over the phone.
The victim was pursuing her second-year degree course in a private college in Narsaraopet town.
The incident occurred at Ravipadu village on the outskirts of the town. The police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and sent it for the postmortem at a nearby hospital, Rosaiah said.

This incident took place near Panditivaripalem village in Piduguralla Mandal of Guntur district on Saturday evening when the government officials were bringing cash from bank to office for the distribution of welfare pensions. The victims B Venkata Reddy and Sivaparvati went to State Bank of India in Piduguralla town on a two-wheeler to withdrew cash for distribution of welfare pensions. On their way back to Julakallu village, they were attacked by two unidentified robbers near Panditivaripalem village.
