Cape Town kidnapping suspect arrested during R1.5 million drug bust
Cape Town police have ramped up efforts to clean the streets of drugs, and made several significant arrests over the past week
Police in the Western Cape bust a major drug operation and seized narcotics worth approximately R1.5 million when they raided a house – which was the subject of an investigation into alleged kidnapping incidents – in Paarl on Tuesday 9 February, arresting one suspect in the process.
Provincial law enforcement’s efforts to rid the streets of drugs also led to the arrest of a 67-year-old woman in the same Boland town on Friday , after she was found in possession of mandrake tablets valued at around R33 000.
