Liberal MP Tim Smith says he does not expect to see a dramatic display from the Victorian government – like that given by Queensland Deputy Premier Steven Miles – upon receiving a bill from NSW for hotel quarantine. Steven Miles tearing up NSW hotel quarantine bill is embarrassing

Sky News host Peta Credlin says Queensland Deputy Premier Steven Miles “is a joker” amid his recent “embarrassing” actions. It comes as the Queensland government has refused to pay New South Wales the cost of hotel quarantine for thousands of returned travellers. A bill of $30 million had been accrued as a result of quarantining returned Queensland residents in New South Wales. Mr Miles subsequently uploaded a video to his Facebook page of himself tearing up the bill. "I think it's embarrassing," Ms Credlin said.
