A Cromarty museum is looking for local accents to recreate the trial presided over by eccentric aristocrat Sir Thomas Urquhart. Cromarty Courthouse Museum, which has been successful in gaining funding for a digital sound system, said it wants to re-record the trial of local man Cuthbert Mackenzie – this time giving the accused a voice. Because of the numbers of men involved in the trial at the time, the Cromarty Courthouse are particularly keen to hear from male voices with local accents.
