That’s according to radon tests conducted in La Crosse and Monroe County.
Over the last year many of us have been home more than ever, and turning spaces we don’t typically spend time in – like the basement – into home offices, classrooms, and gyms.
This is why checking for radon is so important.
January is Radon Action Month – raising awareness about the dangers of the odorless, invisible gas that can enter homes through cracks, crevices, and pores in home foundations.
If you have high levels of radon in your home you may be at a higher risk for lung cancer, even if you’re a non-smoker.
