2021 NCAA DIII Women s Indoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 8 ::: USTFCCCA

The top-ranked Eagles ended the season with a wealth of national top-10 marks – try 15 of them, to be exact. Skye Digman gave UW-La Crosse its only two chart-toppers with her efforts in the shot put (14.11m/46-3½) and weight throw (17.95m/58-10¾). Hannah Zenkovich is the only other Eagle ranked in the top-2 nationally, as she owns the No. 2 spot in the 60H (8.69). Loras jumped three spots from No. 5 to No. 2 based off its efforts at the DIII Elite Indoor Track & Field Championships. Kassie Rosenbum ended the season with a strong outing in the 3000 at 9:44.14, which put her No. 2 on the season-ending Descending Order List. Rosenbum was also on the now third-ranked DMR, which pairs well with the second-ranked 4×400 relay (3:55.01).

Abby Steiner Strikes Gold, Ties Collegiate Record at NCAA Indoor Championships

(March 15, 2021)  Kentucky junior sprinter Abby Steiner won the 200-meter dash gold medal in a collegiate-record-tying time at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships Saturday in Fayetteville, Arkansas, smashing numerous records in the process.  Running in lane five of the banked oval in the Randal Tyson Center, Steiner got a great start from the blocks. She had to battle University of Alabama’s Tamara Clark the entire way, but as she has done in all seven races this season  held on to strike gold. Her time of 22.38 seconds: tied the all-time indoor collegiate record and the NCAA Indoor Championship record (also 22.38 by Gabby Thomas of Harvard)

2020 USTFCCCA NCAA Division I Cross Country All-America NEW ORLEANS – All-America honors for the 2020 NCAA Division I Cross Country season were announced on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Athletes from member institutions earned All-America recognition by finishing among the top-40 athletes in their gender’s respective races on Monday at the 2020 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Team titles went to Northern Arizona’s men and BYU’s women. It was the Lumberjacks’ fourth crown in the past five years, while the Cougars captured their fifth in program history.
