Mechanicsville Felon Arrested After Commiting Drive-By Shooting, and Hours Long Barricade Situation | Southern Maryland News Net

February 17, 2021 Mark Travis Grove, 36 of Mechanicsville On February 16, 2021, at approximately 3:26 a.m. deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 28100 block of Mechanicsville Road in Mechanicsville, for the report of gunshots. Investigation determined an individual fired multiple rounds from a vehicle and fled the scene. Officers in the area located numerous shell casings. The name of a possible suspect and vehicle description were obtained, and the vehicle was later located by deputies at a residence in the 27000 block of Mechanicsville Road. Deputies attempted to contact the suspect at the residence with negative results. Multiple shell casings were observed in plain view on the driver’s vehicle’s floorboard. Another vehicle on the property was found to have a handgun case on the driver’s seat.

February 11, 2021 On February 5, 2021, at approximately 3:30 p.m. deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 21800 block of Ronald Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported shooting. A juvenile victim was located and found to be suffering from a single gunshot wound to his leg. The victim reported he was in the area of Midway Drive and Pegg Road, when a vehicle approached. An unknown male exited the vehicle and shot at him multiple times, ultimately striking the victim. The victim was transported an area hospital for treatment. Detectives and Crime Lab personnel from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene and continued the investigation.

February 9, 2021 The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the identity of the person shown in a theft investigation. On Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021 at 5:38 pm, the suspect entered the Target store in California and proceeded to stuff women’s clothing down her pants. She then walked past all points of sale and left the store without paying for the clothing. The suspect was last seen leaving in a Navy blue Toyota Camry with tinted windows and “Stay Humble” stenciled on the front windshield. In an aisle, the suspect picked up several packages of Dewalt DW4856 saw blades, removed the blades from their packaging, placed the packaging back on the shelf and placed the blades inside of his jacket and left the store without paying for them. The suspect left in a blue GMC pickup truck.
