The City of Columbus announced a new interagency partnership on Thursday to prevent and reduce gun violence.
The Columbus Division of Police will partner with the U.S. Attorney s Office for the Southern District of Ohio, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF)
Police and ATF will work together as part of the Crime Gun Intelligence Center, also known as CGIC.
This interagency collaboration is designed to collect, analyze and distribute intelligence data about crime, guns, mass shootings, and major incidents.
