The first COVID-19 vaccine in Alabama was administered Tuesday morning at Southeast Health in Dothan, as hospitals around the state announced plans to begin distributing immunizations later in the day.
Dr. Walter Doty IV, director of the critical care unit at Southeast Health and Dr. Ravi Nallamothu, the director of hospital medicine at Southeast Health, received the first doses a little after 8 a.m.
