Moultonborough school budget calls for 3 6 percent increase

February 24, 2021MOULTONBOROUGH The proposed Moultonborough School District budget will have a 3.6 percent increase from last year due to increases in retirement and health insurance contributions among other factors. The Moultonborough School Board and district officials discussed the proposed 2021-2022 budget during a public hearing on Feb. 9. The proposed budget is $14,998,057, a 3.6 percent increase over last year. Superintendent Patrick Andrew said factors driving the budget increases include a significant rise in the amount of employer contributions to the New Hampshire Retirement System and increases in the health insurance. District Business Manager Amanda Berquist also said there was also an increase in contracted services for special education.

ODE seeks schools, community groups to offer summer food service SALEM, Ore. (KTVZ) The Oregon Department of Education is seeking more schools, community organizations and tribes to participate in its Summer Food Service Program this summer, to help ensure that children and teens receive the nutritious meals they need during the summer months. The goal of the SFSP is to ensure children 18 and younger, who benefit from meal programs during the school year, continue to have that same access to nutritious meals when schools are closed, or students are unable to attend school in person. During the pandemic, Oregon has seen record numbers of meals served to children via the Summer Food Service Program.
