Baby shark found stranded on shoreline By Staff | Feb 17, 2021 PHOTO PROVIDED PHOTO PROVIDED Gladys Pena Peraza, of Sanibel, reported that she found a baby shark on Feb. 9 during her morning walk near Beach Access #3 on West Gulf Drive on Sanibel. It was stuck on the shoreline, about a foot and a half from the water, and did not appear to be dead. She noted that when she picked the shark up, its mouth widened, scaring her a little. Peraza returned it to the water and did not see it float back up. PHOTO PROVIDED
