ACPS board to meet
ZANESVILLE - The Muskingum County Adult and Child Protective Services Board will meet in regular session at 5 p.m. May 6 at the board office, 205 N. Seventh St.
Muskingum Iron and Metal supports Earth Day
ZANESVILLE - Muskingum Iron and Metal Co. is holding a series of activities to raise awareness of Earth Day and the importance of recycling in the community.
All four Zanesville elementary schools and intermediate schools and Maysville Elementary School will be collecting aluminum cans throughout April. Muskingum Iron and Metal will issue a check to each school for cans collected, with an additional match up to $500 per school. The school with the most can s will receive a pizza party from Adornetto s.

Free face masks at Dutro Ford
ZANESVILLE - Dutro Ford is distributing free face masks from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday. Each person can pick up 20 disposable masks while supplies last at the 135 S. Fifth St. dealership.
It s part of Ford s nationwide #FinishStrong initiative, a public call to action encouraging Americans to pull together, protect each other and save lives until the COVID-19 vaccines become more available. More than 90 other Ohio Ford dealerships are participating Tuesday.
Zanesville man charged with 10th OVI
ZANESVILLE - The Zanesville Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol has charged a Zanesville man with his 10th count of operating a vehicle impaired.

City, County Agreement To Expand Parking Downtown The Hill County Commissioners Court met in a special session Tuesday, December 15, and approved an interlocal agreement with the City of Hillsboro to increase parking near the courthouse. The county and city are expected to each contribute half of the cost of property at the corner of Covington and Elm streets in downtown Hillsboro, which is currently the site of a laundromat. Under the agreement, the city will make the purchase, and the county will reimburse the city for half of the cost. The county is expected to assist the city with demolition of the building, and maintenance will be the responsibility of the city.
