When will a COVID vaccine be available for kids? By Chasity Maxie | January 1, 2021 at 8:45 PM CST - Updated January 1 at 8:45 PM
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - The distribution of vaccines so far, has been focused mainly on adults, but clinical trials for COVID-19 vaccines for children may begin soon.
Dr. Anthony Fauci has said drug companies may start testing their vaccines on children as early as January. In fact, Moderna announced in early December that it would soon begin pediatric clinical trials with kids aged 12 to 17. But that could be tricky because children have shown different reactions to COVID-19 than adults.
