COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) â The Branch County Community Foundation and the Youth Advisory Council have announced the recipients of the 2021 YAC and Youth Related Grant Cycle.
This year, the Youth Advisory Council was able to fully fund five different projects that applied for a YAC Grant.
The organizations and projects that received funding include the Branch County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence for their Teen Share program, the Branch ISD CORE team for their CORE in the Community: Playground Edition Project, Childrenâs Museum of Branch County for a new River Rock Climbing Wall, the Coach Eby Youth and Family Center for a new gaming system for Friday Night Alive and Colon Township Friends of the Library for Activity

How much “pedal power” does it take to keep the lights on in your house? Young visitors at the Children’s Museum of Branch County can now find out, thanks to a partnership between the Children’s Museum and the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities.
A newly-installed interactive exhibit at the Children’s Museum, “The Pedal Power,” encourages visitors to pedal a bike to keep the lights on in four different rooms of a house display. Every time a light switch is turned on, the bike gets progressively harder to pedal until all four light switches are on and the “pedal power” is significant.
