A fast-spreading strain of Covid-19 first found in India is causing a mini-outbreak in Guangdong, with the southern Chinese province reporting 20 new confirmed cases on Sunday.
Measures to restrict travellers leaving the province were announced as Guangdong stepped up inoculation and viral screening across multiple Pearl River Delta cities to curb further spread of the disease.
