Prisoners also are eligible for vaccines, effective immediately, according to the Joint Information Center.
It’s the first major shift in eligibility in more than a month, and will allow about 10,000 more residents to receive vaccines.
Eligibility for residents 50 and older starts March 15 and the mass vaccination clinic at the University of Guam Calvo Field House is scheduled to start giving more first vaccine doses March 16.
The clinic this week is administering only second doses of vaccines. At the current pace, the field house clinic could administer more than 8,000 doses through Saturday, according to the Guam National Guard, which is operating the clinic.
