KUWAIT CITY, Feb 24: Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) announced that it has referred supervisors and executive officials in the Kuwait Municipality and others to the Public Prosecution on charges of forgery, based on articles No. 257, 259 and 260 of the Penal Code.
According to informed sources, about 57 employees of the Hawally Municipality were referred to the prosecution. They were previously referred for investigation by the Deputy Director General of Hawally Municipal Affairs Ahmed Al-Hazeem, as most of them do not report to work and they lack excuse for doing so.
In a press statement, Nazaha affirmed its intention to continue efforts and procedures to investigate all serious corruption reports that it receives. It expressed appreciation for the role played by whistleblowers in helping the authority to access the necessary information and data on corruption incidents.

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 9: National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim on Tuesday traveled to Doha, Qatar for an official twoday visit in response to the invitation of Qatar’s Shura Council Chairman Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Mahmoud.
During the visit, Al-Ghanim will meet His Highness the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to verbally convey the message of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. He will also meet with his Qatari counterpart. Among those who bid farewell to Al-Ghanim upon departure were acting Speaker MP Farz Al-Daihani, interim Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Mubarak Al-Harees, Ambassador of Qatar to Kuwait Bandar Muhammad Al-Atiya and acting Secretary-General of the Assembly Adel Al-Lughani.

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 3: Interim Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Faisal Al-Medlej confirmed that the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has conducted a technical study on the mechanism for Kuwaitizing jobs in the government sector, reports Al-Anba daily.
Some of the nationals employed in CSC, who occupy supervisory positions and others, carried out the study that was presented to the commission, which then issued a decision specifying the rules on Kuwaitizing government jobs. Al-Medlej revealed the rules include obliging government agencies to annually reduce the number of non-Kuwaiti employees in the job groups mentioned in the decision.
