The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary Emergency Operations Centre issued evacuation orders for three homes in the Fife Road area, April 26. No one has been injured, although some property damage has occurred, according to the regional district s press release. Debris blocked a creek at higher elevation overnight between April 25 and 26, and with rainfall and buildup of water, the blockage gave way in the early morning hours.
