KUALA LUMPUR: The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) has called on its members to give their full support and cooperation to the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to ensure its effectiveness.
President Tan Sri Soh Thian Lai (pic) said the industry is looking forward to the effective and expeditious roll-out of the programme in order to speed-up full economic recovery.
He said FMM also applauded the government for including non-Malaysians in the national vaccination programme to effectively break the Covid-19 chain.

GEORGE TOWN, Feb 14 Singapore’s temporary suspension of the Reciprocal Green Lane (RGL) arrangement with Malaysia would not have much of an impact on businesses in Penang for the short-term, said the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM).
FMM Penang chairman Datuk Jimmy Ong said Singapore has the right to suspend the RGL arrangement with Malaysia if there is a high risk of Covid-19 being spread.

In a statement, the PMO said the Government always welcomes offers from Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers and the SME Association of Malaysia to work together to overcome the unemployment rate through initiatives under the 2021 Budget, especially when through enhancing skills and digitalisation.
While areas of the country are currently still under Movement Control Order (MCO), the Government is optimistic to hit the set targets, given that the strategy is also designed to take into account the MCO and the new norms.

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 4: The Selangor state government wants to set up a community-level quarantine centre in tackling the surge in COVID-19 cases in the state.
